Iran extends condolences, offers aid to Pakistan amid deadly floods

ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian offered his condolences to the people of Pakistan over the loss of lives and properties amid ongoing floods across various parts of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.

In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, the Iranian president offered assistance to the brotherly people of Pakistan at this difficult time. He also conveyed his sympathy and support to the flood-affected families over the loss of precious lives and their worldly belongings.

The PM thanked President Pezeshkian for his kind and thoughtful gesture and expression of solidarity at this hour of pain and suffering.

He also requested that his profound regards and good wishes be conveyed to Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei. The two leaders look forward to their interaction at the upcoming SCO Summit in Tianjin, China.
