ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Asad Qaiser, who is a former National Assembly speaker, has approached the Islamabad High Court to meet party founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.

Qaiser submitted an application, stating that he had sought permission from the prison authorities to meet the PTI founder but they did not allow him.

It stated, “As a PTI member, it is the fundamental right of the petitioner to meet the PTI founder within the prison limits.”

Qaiser requested the court to issue orders for a meeting with the PTI founder for political and legal consultation.

He requested the court to also issue orders to ensure privacy during the consultative meeting with the PTI founder.

In a video statement on social media platform X, Qaiser said he wanted to hold a discussion pertaining to the political situation in the country with Imran. “At this point, Pakistan cannot afford further anarchy. The nation has chosen their leader and their mandate should be respected,” he said.
