LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership has decided to reorganise the party at regional and districts levels as it is currently being run by office-bearers having acting charges of their portfolios.
PTI Central Punjab secretary general Hammad Azhar, who has been directed by the party’s founding chairman Imran Khan to continue with his duties, on Sunday announced that the party would be reorganised at regional and districts levels.
In a tweet from his X handle, Mr Azhar says acting office-bearers were present in the party before the intra-party elections and added that regular office-bearers be appointed.
He says the party’s regular office-bearers, who have joined the provincial and national assemblies, will also be replaced.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Mian Aslam Iqbal dispelled the impression that there was any divide amongst the PTI Punjab MPAs and added that they were united and would ensure the party’s candidates for Senate elections win.
