ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz also left for Saudi Arabia on Sunday to attend the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, where key discussions on the situation in the Middle East, including Gaza and Palestine, are expected to take centre stage from Monday.
The extraordinary summit, convened by Saudi Arabia, aims to address the escalating crisis in Gaza and other pressing issues affecting the region. Heads of state and government from member countries of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are gathering for the important forum.
During his visit, the PM is expected to address the summit and hold bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines, further strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement in the region. Accompanying him are Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
