ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has rejected Indian media claims of missile strikes on 15 locations inside India, calling the allegations “false, baseless, and politically motivated,” while warning that any response from Pakistan will be “visible, loud, and undeniable”—one that the world will witness without needing confirmation from Indian media.

In a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry refuted the Indian allegations and presented Pakistan’s account of the recent escalation along the eastern border.

“India’s claim that Pakistan conducted missile strikes on 15 sites is a blatant lie. Every missile leaves a digital footprint—if such attacks had occurred, the evidence would be irrefutable,” he said. “Has the Indian army and government been living in the 18th century? When will they step out of the theatre and cinema and return to reality?” he remarked.

While accusing the Modi government of fabricating a narrative to serve domestic political interests, he said, “This is political theatre masquerading as military reporting. The Modi government seems more focused on scripting drama than dealing with facts.”

He mocked the visuals circulated by Indian media as alleged evidence of Pakistani strikes, noting the absence of any real damage. “At the very least, they could have set fire to the dry fields they’re showcasing. What they’re presenting are barren patches—nothing more,” he said.

DG ISPR stressed that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully alert and capable of defending the country against any aggression. “If and when Pakistan responds, it will be unmistakable. It won’t be hidden in rhetoric or media spin, it will be visible and loud, and the world will know without waiting for Indian news coverage.”

He revealed that four projectiles, most likely missiles, were launched from Aadhampur, India. One landed in Amritsar, while two crossed the international border into Pakistani airspace. One of these was intercepted and downed in Dinga, Punjab, where forensic investigations are underway.

Additionally, he said three projectiles reportedly fell within Indian territory, suggesting operational errors by Indian forces. “Our eastern border is under constant surveillance. Every moving object is tracked and, if necessary, neutralised,” he added.

Lt Gen Chaudhry also challenged India’s credibility, asking how a country that claims to have intercepted missile strikes at 15 sites could not prevent the downing of five of its own fighter jets by Pakistan. “India’s own losses expose the hollowness of their claims. Their narrative doesn’t hold up under scrutiny,” he said.

He called India’s accusations of Pakistani attacks on military installations “strategically false,” stating that the real intent was to divert attention from internal instability and rising tensions within India.

“This manufactured crisis is a diversion. Over the past 24 hours, acts of sabotage targeting Pakistan from Islamabad to Karachi have been disgraceful and deserve global condemnation,” he stated.

India using conflict to stoke communal divisions: DPM

Dar echoed DG ISPR’s remarks, describing India’s missile launches as a “malicious and deliberate provocation.” He confirmed that three projectiles landed in Amritsar, and one entered Pakistani airspace before being shot down.

“This act appears designed to falsely implicate Pakistan in attacks on Indian civilians and to inflame tensions within Indian Punjab, especially among the Sikh community,” he said, adding, “Such tactics are in line with the Hindutva regime’s strategy of externalizing domestic strife.”

Highlighting the deep cultural and historical ties between Pakistani Punjab and Indian Punjab, Dar stressed that Pakistan has no intention of endangering civilians across the border.

“Pakistan categorically denies any action that could harm the Sikh population or civilians in Indian Punjab. Our commitment to peace remains firm, despite India’s attempts to provoke conflict.”

The DPM further stated that several armed Indian drones had violated Pakistani airspace, targeting civilian and military locations. One drone struck Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium—venue for the ongoing HBL PSL X—in what he called “a deliberate attempt to threaten domestic and foreign players.”

“These drones were neutralised, but not before one martyred a civilian, injured four others, and wounded four army personnel,” he stated.

Despite these provocations, Dar stressed that Pakistan has acted with restraint and responsibility under international law and the UN Charter. “There is no need for public panic. Our armed forces are vigilant and fully prepared. The recent confrontation, in which Pakistan’s Air Force engaged 75 to 80 Indian aircraft, is a testament to our readiness,” he said.

He concluded with a firm warning, saying “Pakistan reserves the right to respond to this unlawful aggression—at a time, place, and manner of its choosing. Any further misadventure will be met with a swift and decisive response.”
