QUETTA: Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani on Thursday described thebudget for 2025-26as a milestone in the province’s journey toward sustainable development and the public welfare.

In his post-budget speech in the Balochistan Assembly, Mr Nosherwani said Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial cabinet and all assembly members deserved gratitude for their cooperation in preparing what he called a balanced and public-friendly budget.

“The budget passed by the house unanimously included large numbers of development schemes designed to address long-standing issues facing the people of the province, aiming to bring tangible improvements to their daily lives,” Mr Nosherwani said.

He added that the budget would have a positive impact on people across the province, focusing especially on both urban and rural development.

“We have laid out a broad framework to extend the reach of essential services like healthcare, education and clean drinking water right to the doorstep of the people,” the minister said.
