ISLAMABAD – Five Pakistani journalists, including Mian Abrar Hussain, the Editor of DiploMag, on Friday won exclusive CPEC Golden Communication Award 2019 here at the fifth CPEC Media Forum 2019.
Leader of the House in Senate Shibli Fraz and Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing distributed awards among winners. Editor-in-Chief of China Economic Net and Chairman Pakistan, China Institute Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed were also present on the occasion.
The winners included Mian Abrar Hussain, also the Resident Editor of Pakistan Today, Mr Javed Akhtar of INP, Saleem Safi of Geo TV, Mehtab Haider of The News and Yasir Habib Khan, a freelancer.
Mian Abrar Hussain is among a very few journalists who have covered CPEC intensively. Since 2009, Mian Abrar has been writing pieces on China, Pakistan relations. The launch of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in year 2013 and CPEC in year 2015 brought about a new dimension in his reportage as the journalist covered almost all angles of both the economic initiatives.
