Chinese companies get legal protection in Pakistan

LAHORE – Overseas Chinese Association has hired services of ZOAO Law Firm which would now act as its legal counsel and will deal all legal matters of the Chinese nationals living and doing business in Pakistan.
At a ceremony held here, the President of Chinese Overseas Association, Mr. Luo Qiang said on Sunday that being the first-ever Chinese funded law firm in Pakistan, ZOAO is trying to serve the Pakistani and Chinese business community on all legal matters in best way possible.
Director ZOAO Law Firm, Mr. Cheng said that he was grateful of the Chinese Overseas Association for reposing trust in the ZOAO Law Firm and the legal team will try its best to meet the expectations of Chinese companies working in Pakistan with their experienced and professional legal team.

Directors of various Private and State-owned Chinese enterprises working in Pakistan on different projects also participated in the event. Press Secretary of ZOAO law firm, Mr. Zeeshan said at the event, ‘Chinese and Pakistani legal system are different and business community of both countries was facing difficulties in trade agreements and investment projects, we are providing them basic knowledge of difference of legal system in both countries and also providing them all legal consultations for their businesses’.

ZOAO Law Firm, which was established in Pakistan earlier this year, aims to reduce conflicts between the business community of both countries and help them to do business legally. Law Firm got the registration certificate from Lahore Bar Council and Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

At the end of the event, President Chinese Overseas Association handed over the authorization certificate of legal counsel to Director Cheng. Pakistani lawyers were also present at the moment and express their gratitude to ZOAO Law firm.
