China launches web portal to provide free online medical services for Coronavirus victims

ISLAMABAD – China has launched a web portal bringing together medical resources from home and abroad, and offering free-of-cost 24/7 real-time online medical services to help comprehensive fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

“WeDoctor Global Consultation and Prevention Center” which supports English-Chinese bilingual languages has been launched by China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Healthcare in collaboration with Chinese Famous Alliance, In Zhejiang English website hands in hand with China’s leading Internet medical and health platform – “WeDoctor”.

 

This is the first initiative by Chinese companies after China won its war on Coronavirus outbreak. China has already sent its medical teams to the countries fighting Coronavirus including Pakistan, Italy, Iran and others to help control the epidemic.

At present, COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in many countries and in some countries the situation is very grim.

“In the process of pandemic prevention and control, the internet plays a pioneering role in the process of helping to fight the pandemic by virtue of its speed, convenience, and high efficiency,” said Ms Ke Ye, an official at In Zhejiang English Website while talking to DiploMag from Hangzhou.

She said that since the world is faced with the difficulties of medical material shortage and patients’ travel inconvenience, the internet medical model of ‘Online Consultation’ can effectively divert patients online and relieve the pressure offline, and at the same time, provide professional expert guidance for patients, remote support for user consultation requirements.

Ke Ye said that the doctors from home and abroad would be offering 24/7 real-time online medical services to the patients and their families keeping in view the experiences gained during the epidemic outbreak.

“Our platform has extensively recruited doctors from the country’s first-class public hospitals, covering all medical departments such as respiratory, otolaryngology, internal medicine, general medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, endocrinology, cardiovascular medicine, orthopedics, urology, infectious diseases, neurology, digestive medicine, and so on,” she said.

She added that the platform provides 24/7 online free consultation, free psychological assistance, epidemic prevention tips and online consultation of traditional Chinese medicine and other services.
