- MoU signed to promote Pak, China media cooperation, content exchange
BEIJING, China – China Economic Net and DiploMag have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Media Cooperation and content exchange.
China Economic Net Editor-in-Chief Excellency Mr Cui Jun and Mian Abrar Hussain, Editor DiploMag, signed the cooperation deed. Ms Agnes of China Economic Net was also present on the occasion.
Under the MoU, both DiploMag and China Economic Net would work towards deepening media cooperation and further cementing friendly ties between China and Pakistan.
DiploMag is the first media outfit in Pakistan that exclusively covers China and its issues. DiploMag is a web portal which also launched its first print issue at the Fifth CPEC Media Forum.
China Economic Net is a major news website of China that extensively covers economic development of China by producing in-depth economic analysis and articles about rapid economic development in China. China Economic Net (CE.cn) is currently the largest and most comprehensive economic information portal of China.
CEN also plays key role in promoting media cooperation and mutual understanding between Chinese and Pakistani media, and improving the Pakistani media’s knowledge of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
President of China Economic Daily & China Economic Net Mr. Wang Xudong and Editor-in-Chief Mr. Cui Jun have been working extensively to promote exchanges and cooperation between Economic Daily, China Economic Net and the Pakistani media over the years.
Cooperation includes TV programs, written reports in languages such as English and Urdu, as well as achievements of media exchange activities.
China Economic Net also is a co-sponsor of the CPEC Media Forum. At the Fifth CPEC Media Forum held in Islamabad in November this year, five Pakistani journalists, including Mian Abrar Hussain, the Editor of DiploMag, won exclusive CPEC Golden Communication Award 2019.
Leader of the House in Senate Shibli Fraz and Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing distributed awards among winners. Editor-in-Chief of China Economic Net Mr Cui Jun and Chairman Pakistan, China Institute Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed were also present on the occasion.
Mian Abrar Hussain is among a very few journalists who have covered CPEC intensively. Since 2009, Mian Abrar has been writing pieces on China, Pakistan relations. The launch of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in year 2013 and CPEC in year 2015 brought about a new dimension in his reportage as the journalist covered almost all angles of both the economic initiatives.
