{"id":650,"date":"2026-04-21T12:53:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T12:53:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/?p=650"},"modified":"2026-04-21T12:53:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T12:53:20","slug":"locally-developed-air-launched-cruise-missile-successfully-tested-by-navy-ispr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/04\/21\/locally-developed-air-launched-cruise-missile-successfully-tested-by-navy-ispr\/","title":{"rendered":"Locally developed air-launched cruise missile successfully tested by Navy: ISPR"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RAWALPINDI<\/strong>: The Pakistan Navy conducted a successful test of the indigenously developed \u2018Taimoor\u2019 air-launched cruise missile, the military\u2019s media wing said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the \u201cPakistan Navy has conducted successful live weapon firing of Taimoor air-launched cruise missile \u2014 an indigenously developed Anti-Ship Weapon System \u2014 in a powerful demonstration of precision strike capability and operational readiness\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISPR said that the cruise missile \u201cexecuted its mission with exceptional precision, validating Pakistan Navy\u2019s combat capability to detect, target and decisively neutralise enemy sea-based threats at extended ranges\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement added that the test marked \u201ca pivotal elevation of national defence capability\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It further said that the test had \u201cstrengthened Pakistan armed forces\u2019 multi-dimensional coordinated strike posture and capabilities in the conventional domain\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPakistan Navy stands resolute in its commitment to safeguard the nation\u2019s maritime interests and sovereign waters,\u201d ISPR said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe president, prime minister of Pakistan, chief of defence forces and services chiefs have congratulated the scientists and engineers on achieving this significant milestone,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the successful test, stating that it was a \u201cmilestone\u201d in Pakistan\u2019s defence capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As per a statement by the Ministry of Interior, Naqvi congratulated the nation on the successful test, affirming that Pakistan Navy remained \u201ccommitted to protecting the nation\u2019s maritime borders\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On April 16, the navy successfully fired a locally developed anti-ship ballistic missile to engage targets at an extended range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In January, the navy conducted a \u201ccomprehensive exercise\u201d in the north Arabian Sea, where it successfully fired a surface-to-air missile.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Navy conducted a successful test of the indigenously developed \u2018Taimoor\u2019 air-launched cruise missile, the military\u2019s media wing said on Tuesday.
