ISLAMABAD<\/strong>: Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC) General Aamer Raza warned the country\u2019s adversaries on Saturday that \u201cany miscalculation will be met with a response far beyond the imagination or the calculation of the initiator\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo those who harbour hostile designs across our borders, our stance remains resolute and unambiguous. There is no space for conflict or war in a nuclearised environment and any miscalculation will be met with a response far beyond the imagination or calculation of the initiator,\u201d warned the commander of Pakistan\u2019s strategic command.<\/p>\n

Addressing the passing-out parade of cadets of the 154th Long Course at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul, he reiterated that the country\u2019s armed forces stood ready to \u201cdefend every inch of the motherland\u201d at all costs.<\/p>\n

The warning by the strategic command commander comes after provocative remarks by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He had warned Pakistan on Thursday that any \u201cfresh terrorist activity from across the border would invite a strike even bigger than the last time\u201d, according to Indian news agency ANI<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Gen Raza said that in the \u201cpost-truth era\u201d, the country\u2019s adversaries sought to drive a wedge between the people of Pakistan and its armed forces through \u201ccalculated disinformation and narrative warfare\u201d.<\/p>\n

He elaborated that following the failure of Operation Sindoor, the adversaries sought to \u201cfracture Pakistan\u2019s social cohesion and state infrastructure\u201d through an escalation of proxy terrorism and sub-conventional warfare.<\/p>\n

Gen Raza further said that hostile elements continue to attempt to exploit the country\u2019s internal vulnerabilities to \u201ccultivate proxy instruments against our national unity\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou must understand unequivocally that this conflict is waged directly against the security of our people and the freedom secured by the supreme sacrifices of our predecessors.\u201d<\/p>\n

The strategic command commander added that the people of Pakistan must remain acutely mindful that safeguarding the country\u2019s unity, sovereign integrity and territorial inviolability is \u201can absolute imperative, which we shall uphold at all costs and under every circumstance\u201d.<\/p>\n

Addressing the newly-graduated cadets, he added that they must remain steadfast in their duty and unwavering in their resolve and \u201cimmune to malicious propaganda and narrative warfare\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pakistan\u2019s role in regional peace<\/h2>\n

Gen Raza said the recent shifts in global geopolitics, particularly amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, had \u201conce again underscored Pakistan\u2019s pivotal strategic importance on the international stage\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur decisive role in restoring regional stability, exemplified by the landmark Islamabad Accord, demonstrates our enduring commitment to peace and diplomacy,\u201d he said, adding that the Makkah Accord was \u201ca sequel to the same vision of durable peace\u201d.<\/p>\n

Expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, he said: \u201cOur hearts remain heavily burdened by the ongoing tragedy in Palestine, where innocent men, women and children continue to endure unspeakable hardship and systematic oppression.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the Pakistani nation stood \u201cresolute and unwavering in its diplomatic, moral and political support\u201d for the Palestinians.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe persistent violence, targeting of non-combatants and destruction of civilian infrastructure are profound violations of international law and a grave stain on the collective conscience of humanity,\u201d Gen Raza added.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the world witnesses increasing volatility, where grey-zone warfare and hybrid threats attempt to destabilise sovereign states,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

FO condemns Singh\u2019s \u2018provocative remarks\u2019<\/h2>\n

A day earlier, the Foreign Office (FO) condemned Singh\u2019s \u201cprovocative remarks\u201d threatening aggression against Pakistan, saying such statements highlighting the neighbouring country\u2019s \u201chegemonistic mindset\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan rejects and condemns the Indian defence minister\u2019s provocative remarks entailing a threat of Indian aggression against Pakistan. Such reckless statements reflect India\u2019s hegemonistic mindset and the risk its belligerent posture poses to regional peace and stability in South Asia,\u201d FO spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish to remind India of the consequences of its military aggression in May last year, when Pakistan demonstrated both its capability and resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity and gave a befitting response and reply to Indian aggression,\u201d he said, referring to the brief military conflict between the two countries.<\/p>\n

He said that there should be \u201cno ambiguity\u201d that Pakistan remained fully prepared to safeguard its \u201csovereignty and territorial integrity\u201d against any \u201cill-advised aggression\u201d.<\/p>\n

Haider said Pakistan\u2019s \u201crestraint and commitment to peace\u201d should not be mistaken for weakness, warning that any aggression would be met with a \u201cforceful response\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndia should draw an appropriate lesson from last year\u2019s experience and abandon its belligerent posture and dangerous rhetoric and act with responsibility for lasting peace in the region,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
