{"id":2765,"date":"2026-08-21T16:30:38","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T16:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/?p=2765"},"modified":"2026-08-21T16:30:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T16:30:38","slug":"49-terrorists-killed-in-ibos-across-kp-balochistan-ispr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/08\/21\/49-terrorists-killed-in-ibos-across-kp-balochistan-ispr\/","title":{"rendered":"49 terrorists killed in IBOs across KP, Balochistan: ISPR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>RAWALPINDI<\/strong>: Security forces have eliminated 49 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the military\u2019s media wing said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), \u201cover the last few days, security forces conducted a series of high-tempo joint intelligence-driven operations along with police, as part of relentless counter-terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies,\u00a0<em>Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The state uses the term\u00a0<em>Fitna al-Khawarij<\/em>\u00a0for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and refers to designated Balochistan-based groups as\u00a0<em>Fitna al-Hindustan<\/em>\u00a0to highlight India\u2019s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>ISPR said that the operations resulted in \u201cmajor successes, inflicting significant blows to the terrorist networks\u201d with the elimination of 49 terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>In KP, at least 12 terrorists belonging to\u00a0<em>Fitna al-Khawarij<\/em>\u00a0were killed in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts in \u201chigh-tempo\u201d intelligence-based operations.<\/p>\n<p>ISPR added that explosives, IED detonating remotes, weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were recovered from the slain terrorists and subsequently destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>While in Balochistan, ISPR said 37 terrorists of the\u00a0<em>Fitna al-Hindustan<\/em>\u00a0were eliminated in ten IBOs in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar, and Panjgur districts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA significant quantity of weapons, explosive drums and remote detonation equipment were seized and destroyed,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>ISPR said that security forces remained \u201cresolute and unwavering\u201d in defending the nation\u2019s frontiers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored\u00a0<em>Kharji<\/em>\/ terrorist found in the area,\u201d the statement read, adding that \u201crelentless counterterrorism campaign under vision \u201c<em>Azm e Istehkam\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement carried by state broadcaster PTV, paid tribute to security forces for the successful operations in KP and Balochistan.<\/p>\n<p>He said Pakistan remained \u201cdetermined to eradicate terrorism completely\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>President Asif Ali Zardari also lauded security forces for their efforts, vowing that externally sponsored terrorism will \u201cnever succeed in harming the country\u2019s peace and stability,\u201d as per a statement issued by his office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperations will continue with full force until the complete elimination of terrorism,\u201d he was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe day is not far when the people of Balochistan and KP will be rid of terrorism and peace, national development, and prosperity will be restored,\u201d the statement quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated 49 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the military\u2019s media wing said on Friday.
