ISLAMABAD<\/strong>: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday returned a review petition filed by the federal government against its\u00a0Aug 18 order\u00a0for shifting incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital.<\/p>\n

The SC registrar\u2019s office returned the petition, citing incomplete paper books as the reason.<\/p>\n

An informed source told that the review petition may be filed afresh with certain amendments along with an appeal against the registrar\u2019s objections.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the development, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said the state had \u201cwithdrawn its review petition\u201d after the court\u2019s objections.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no excuse whatsoever for not complying with the SC order of Aug 18. Imran Khan\u00a0sahib<\/em>\u00a0must be transferred to Shifa International Hospital forthwith. Today is the day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
