After his eye ailment\u00a0came to light\u00a0in January, the PTI founder\u2019s family and party leaders have repeatedly\u00a0voiced concerns\u00a0over a lack of access to him.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<em>CNN<\/em>\u00a0interview, Kasim and Sulaiman said they had \u201cno updates because his (Imran\u2019s) family, doctors [and] lawyers haven\u2019t been allowed to see him for seven months\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeen more in the dark than we\u2019ve ever been through his incarceration,\u201d Kasim said, noting the Islamabad High Court\u2019s (IHC) order for a\u00a0phone call\u00a0between them every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to\u00a0<em>CNN<\/em>\u00a0from London, the duo claimed that each time they speak to the media about their father, Pakistani authorities made it harder for them to see him by allegedly delaying their visas or bogging them down with other administrative issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re trying, we\u2019d like to go, but nothing\u2019s coming through,\u201d Kasim said. \u201cThere\u2019s no reason we shouldn\u2019t be accepted for a visa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the government has previously said that Kasim and Sulaiman were \u201cwelcome\u201d to\u00a0visit Pakistan\u00a0on their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (Nicop), Imran\u2019s sons said those cards have expired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we\u2019re not able to go by those, and the visa has never come; there were technical difficulties,\u201d Kasim said.<\/p>\n<p><em>CNN<\/em>\u00a0also quoted the information ministry as saying that Kasim and Sulaiman had Nicops, which meant they did not require visas to enter Pakistan. The ministry said their claims were \u201cmisleading and appear to convert an administrative process into an issue of political point-scoring\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The publication noted that the ministry did not address the duo\u2019s claim that their Nicops had not been renewed.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if there was a chance their father could reach a \u201cdeal with the government, the sons thought it unlikely\u201d,\u00a0<em>CNN<\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>Sulaiman said Imran \u201cwouldn\u2019t [reach a deal that left] the other political prisoners in there \u2026 unless they were able to get some kind of resolution as well\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Kasim expressed a similar opinion, though he added it was \u201chard to say\u201d. \u201cThey\u2019re refusing to show us any kind of health report.
