{"id":219,"date":"2026-03-28T14:48:54","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T14:48:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/?p=219"},"modified":"2026-04-07T10:53:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T10:53:01","slug":"pcb-serves-show-cause-notice-to-naseem-shah-over-contract-media-policy-breach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/03\/28\/pcb-serves-show-cause-notice-to-naseem-shah-over-contract-media-policy-breach\/","title":{"rendered":"PCB serves show-cause notice to Naseem Shah over contract, media policy breach"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>LAHORE<\/strong>: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to fast bowler Naseem Shah for \u201cviolating the terms of [his] central contract as well as the media policy and regulations\u201d, according to a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The press release, issued by the PCB on Friday, said that the show-cause notice to Naseem, who also plays for the Pakistan Super League team Rawalpindiz, had been served in accordance with the board\u2019s disciplinary framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNaseem Shah is required to provide a response within the stipulated time,\u201d the press release said, without specifying the date by when Naseem was required to submit his response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that upon receipt and review of Naseem\u2019s response, the PCB would \u201cdecide on any further action in line with the regulations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe PCB remains committed to upholding professional standards, contractual obligations, and the integrity of the game,\u201d the press release read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the press release did not specify the exact violations or the events that led to the issuance of a show-cause notice to Naseem, the development came a day after the opening night of the 11th season of the HBL Pakistan Super League, where Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz was also present, regarding which a post had appeared on Naseem\u2019s X account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The post included a video of Maryam from the event and said, \u201cWhy is she treated like a queen at Lords?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was later deleted and later, another post on Naseem\u2019s account said: \u201cThis account of Naseem was recently hacked but [is] now recovered successfully.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to fast bowler Naseem Shah for \u201cviolating the terms of [his] central contract as well as the media policy and regulations\u201d, according to a press release.
