{"id":1136,"date":"2026-06-01T06:47:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T06:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/?p=1136"},"modified":"2026-06-01T06:47:17","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T06:47:17","slug":"shehbaz-naqvi-review-security-situation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diplomag.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/01\/shehbaz-naqvi-review-security-situation\/","title":{"rendered":"Shehbaz, Naqvi review security situation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ISLAMABAD<\/strong>: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday reviewed the country&#8217;s overall law and order and security situation during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the two leaders held a detailed discussion on national security and public safety measures, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interior minister briefed the prime minister on special arrangements made to ensure the protection of citizens&#8217; lives and property and to enhance security at public places during Eidul Azha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naqvi also informed the premier about the preparations undertaken by security agencies to ensure the peaceful, transparent and orderly conduct of the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said a comprehensive security plan had been devised to maintain law and order and provide a secure environment for voters throughout the electoral process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The premier appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, law enforcement agencies and security forces in maintaining peace and stability in the country and safeguarding the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also commended the interior minister and his team for putting in place effective security arrangements for the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and reiterated the government&#8217;s commitment to taking all necessary measures to support the democratic process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday reviewed the country&#8217;s overall law and order and security situation during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore.
